Join the Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation for an afternoon of music and discussion exploring the community influences of go-go music and jazz. Between two high-energy performances by local go-go band Team Familiar and Grammy-nominated artist Kenny Lattimore, panel members including Smithsonian and local scholars will explore jazz and Civil Rights during the Kennedy administration, and the community and cultural roots of go-go music.
