The 3M Records include materials relating to invention, and development of many of the company’s products including waterproof sandpaper, masking and cellophane tape, magnetic recording media, non-woven fiber, thermographic copying process (Thermo Fax), and Post-it-Note. Materials include biographical information on inventors and lab workers, advertising and promotional materials and in some cases, lab records and research files.
