Summary
Morgan’s papers contain correspondence, legal and business papers, drawings of a traffic signal, a hair straightening device, and an automatic cooker, maps, blueprints and floorplans of Morgan’s properties, biographical sketches, and newspaper clippings. Morgan received his patent for the gas mask in 1912 and formed the National Safety Device Co. to manufacture and market it. Morgan also established the G.A. Morgan Hair Refining Co., The Cleveland Call and Post, and the Wakeman Country Club for blacks.
