This series consists of correspondence created or received by Premier Mitchell F. Hepburn during his time in office. Much of the correspondence in this series has been stamped "Private". Many of the file titles found in this series are repeated in the series of "public" correspondence. The files are arranged in alphabetical order. Subjects covered in this series include the various government departments, cabinet appointments, elections (provincial and federal), Dominion-Provincial conferences, compulsory milk pasteurization, some of Hepburn's personal business correspondence, the Hydro-Electric Power Commission, the Temiskaming and Northern Ontario Railway, party patronage, the Saint Lawrence Seaway, the Dionne quintuplets, and the Liquor Control Board are documented in this series.
